Prefab Homes

The main framework of your home will be made up of British Columbia Douglas fir posts and beams. All components are pre-cut and pre-coded in a plant to facilitate their assembly on the site and thus keep the construction time under two weeks. Prefab walls provide for an enhanced material selection and a sound control over the quality of the assembly. It also offers a protection against adverse weather, for a greater stability of materials.

Once the framework is complete, the sections of the prefab walls are delivered. They include a woodwork structure consisting of 2 X 6 and the structural cover containing insulation material, the vapor barrier and the internal furring. The siding of the walls is installed before shipping, based on your selection. The doors and windows are then placed. The installation of the walls is performed with an elevating machine and requires the presence of about five people on site.

The roof structure, often consisting of prefab truss, will complete the frame of your home. Then, assembly will be performed by an on-site team of carpenters and joiners.
